Here I go!

deviantID

My name is Nadiah, and I am hugely inspired by oddities in the world, music, art, photography, and life, whether it's good or bad. 90s rock is the best thing that ever happened to me, along with an appreciation for music in general. I love to be intrigued, and cheesecake, donuts, and coffee make me really happy. I love running an Etsy shop because I thrive on self suffiency and my incessant refusal to settle for mainstream anything. I am obsessed with dragons, moons, hearts, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Feel free to contact me anytime at: le.armoire@gmail.com Or send me a convo on etsy!

hey nadiah :)

thanks for the :+fav: and all your support as per usual :)

how have you been lately? how's etsy, and how's your painting coming along?
:iconlearmoire:
Heeeeyyy! :)

oh, no problem. Your blog is fantastic, I am so glad you decided to start one.

I've been good-I don't even think about meat anymore, so I'm really happy about that. Etsy is going good, and the painting is going awesome! I am really excited about it. I'm so glad to have my muse back. But then I've got a ton of homework, so I can't work on it as often as I'd like. Oh well. :)

How about you? whats new? Working on any new art?

Hey, that's good about the vegetarianism :) And Etsy, of course. But I'm really glad you've started painting again.
I know what you mean about homework :( I started year 11 this year so the homework keeps a pilin'.

About art though; I'm working on some stuff at home (practicing my techniques for my HSC artwork next year) in addition to currently studying Rauschenberg at school. That and I just put my name down to be a part of a collabarative art project in my community. I'm pretty excited. It's an inter-generational thing, so it's teenagers and retirees over 55. Should be very interesting.
:iconlearmoire:
Yep, I started 11th grade this year too, only I'm not really homeschooled anymore. Only sort of. haha.

I did the DUMBEST thing today, seriously. I forgot I was a vegetarian (yeah, I actually forgot) and I went out to the kitchen, and made tuna salad. And then I realized, I can't eat this. It's fish. Gross. And I had a huge DUH moment. lol. I can't believe i forgot. I didn't eat it though..I don't know what I was thinking. OH well, my cats will eat it. haha.

ooh! that project sounds amazing! What will you all be working on? It sounds awesome. I've been trying to find a decent art project in my community, but people here suck too much. lol. You should take tons of pictures of whatever it is you guys are going to be doing!

Tonight I'm going to finish a collage I am doing for my Literature of Diversity class, and I'm going to try to finish my other painting, cause it's almost done. Annnnnnd I have a pile of math homework, but I hate math, so I'll probably just ignore it until it disappears. lol.

The plot is awesome, very detailed and she uses great imagery and language features etc. For me, I think alot of the brilliance of the story was enjoying her writing skills.Oh, but I got irritated too. Like naming Renesmee and just the whole Renesmee thing. I think that's just horrid. But then again, alot of people do stuff like that. But like you said, it wasn't enough to make me put it down.

The casting of the movie was good, but what really ticked me off and disappointed me was all the changes. The soundtrack was great though :)

By the way, congratulations on your corset gloves getting in that magazine! :D what kind of mag is it?
:iconlearmoire:
you are right. I did notice some amatuer elements in her writing style, but the series really evolved and progressed, which was good to see. That said, I think the first book is my favorite. You can tell it was at a time when the author didn't feel any pressure from fame or what the fans were expecting and predicting. Comparitively, the last book has some strong signs of this. But again, not enough to make me stop reading.

I thought the soundtrack was okay. The only song I really love was the muse one. I love muse!

Thanks about the gloves! Google shut up magazine, they have a site you can look at. I'm excited!

It looks like we both sorts dropped off UG lately. I'm not really getting much out of the ol' UG scene anymore. Haha.

Also, have you heard about Spinnerette, fellow Brody fan?

muse are awesome. i haven't got any of their albums or singles or downloaded any of their tracks (legally, of course), but just from what i've heard on the radio and seen on video hits over the past few years... they're just fabulous! i reallly will have to buy an album lol.

yeah i haven't been on ug in ages and i can't really be bothered. it's all much the same. the chat forums were boring as, although i used to get a couple of laughs reading some of the shit the guys wrote. it's a site that grew on testosterone.

yes i have heard OF spinnerette, but i've not heard their stuff. how are they? heaps good, i bet! :) in fact, in the past few months i've been thinking, "man, i need to order in some distiller albums." they only released 3 studio albums, wasn't it? damn. why do all the bands i like stop at three. except soundgarden... and alice in chains... and etc.

anyway... nadiah! guess what! i'm joining blog spot! i've been sucked in by the likes of all you creative types who get to journal your works as you go, then post :D
i dooo believe i shall add/follow you on there

btw, shut up! magazine looks heaps cool. i'm not sure we really have anything like it in australia. maybe i should look a little harder. anyway, CONGRATULATIONS! you're gonna get a stack of business :)
